Blues Traveler have never been to Australia so there’s at least 20 million people left in the world that they haven’t played for. There cant be too many people left in the States that haven’t stumbled across them.

Twenty years into a career Blues Traveler are known for expansive live shows that saw them establish a reputation amongst the jam band scene but like their compatriots the Dave Matthews Band to cross into the mainstream.

With a knack for evolving musically which has always been a hallmark of their output, Blues Traveler’s large and widely loved body of work encompasses eight studio albums and four live discs, six of them certified Gold or Platinum, with combined worldwide sales of more than ten million units.

The band’s best-known single, Run-Around, was the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history. Along the way, the band has played more than 2000 live shows.

The band is lead by vocalist and harmonica player John Popper, along with Chandler Kinchla (guitars), Ben Wilson (keyboards), Tad Kinchla (bass) and Brendan Hill (drums).

Blues Traveler formed in New Jersey and grew out of a scene that also spawned bands like Phish and Spin Doctors. Their live credentials were cemented when they founded the H.O.R.D.E. festival which became a huge event for bands in the jam band scene.

The bands new album North Hollywood Shootout was produced by David Bianco whose diverse resume includes Tom Petty, Mick Jagger and Teenage Fanclub.
